English Vacation (Irish Edition): Day 8

A day of views and singers.

My favorite things:
1.  Occupy Dublin.  So colorful.

2.  Cathedral.

3.  Park.

4.  Guiness Storehouse.

5.  Fitzsimmon's and Don.  So we all decided to wear black and pretend that we were French.  It failed as soon as Don, the singer started playing every song we knew and we couldn't help but dance and sing along.

English Vacation (Irish Edition): Day 7

A day of sunshine and searching.

Things I will remember:
1.  Book of Kells.  No actual picture, obviously, the thing is literally ancient.  But Trinity College was lovely.

2.  Vinegar and water look similar, but don't taste the same.  Oops.

3.  Oscar Wilde is Irish?!

4.  Butler's Chocolate.  Literally was just a vacation of non-stop eating.  Like my life.

5.  Dublin Castle.  Hey, guy.

English Vacation (Scottish Edition): Day 6

A day of sights and Harry Potter.

My favorite things:
1.  Edinburgh Castle.

2.  The views from the Edinburgh Castle.  Right before a mini hail storm.

Right after the mini hail storm.

3.  The Elephant House.  This is where JK Rowling wrote some of the Harry Potter series.  A beautiful place with a nice sense of humor.

If you look out that window near the plant, that is the Edinburgh Castle.  Sigh.

Carrot cake and cafe creme.  Heavenly.  Or should I say, magical...hahah!

Only HP fans will find this funny...

3.  Plaid.  This is my lion friend, Callum Dougle.

4.  Top Shop.  I didn't much understand English style.  Can someone help me out here?

5.  The sky.  No matter the time of day, the sky was consistently spectacular.

English Vacation (Scottish Edition): Day 5

A day of overnight train travel and recovery.

Things I will remember:
1.  Overnight trains.  Do it once...and then never again.  On a positive note, did you know they made Salt and Vinegar Pringles?  They do.  And they are delicious.

2.  Jason.  I can smell him from here.  I have spared you all from a visual.  Or scent.  You're welcome.

3.  Bagpipes are my favorite instrument.

4.  Hula Juice Bar.  Delicous, fresh and oh so cute.

5.  Edinburgh might be the most beautiful place on earth.

6.  English Pie.  With "Mash," yum!

English Vacation: Day 4

A day of exploration and rendezvous.
 My favorite moments:
1.  Platform 9 3/4.  Oh, this happened.

2.  CAMDEN MARKET.  In love.

3.  Tower of London.

4.  The Crown Jewels being closed early and doing this instead.

5.  Dinner with Mckenna.  [Back story:  Mckenna is Amy's best friend from high school.  The last time Mckenna and I saw each other was Freshman year of college...and here we are now.  Ah, life!]

Thursday, March 1

English Vacation: Day 3

A day of navigation and traditions.

Things I will remember:
1.  Notting Hill and Portobello Market.

2.  Hyde Park.  Did I mention the weather was perfect?  And we somehow missed the memo that Speakers' Corner was only hopping on Sunday.

3.  Harrod's.  HARROD'S!

4.  Buckingham Palace.  At night.

5.  Trafalgar Square

6.  Good ole Fish 'n Chips.
