Le Tour Eiffel

One of my students told me the cutest story about the Eiffel Tower, "Gustave Eiffel was madly in love with a girl named Amelie and built the tower's shape in an 'A' for her name.  He wanted to show his love for her!"

 Is it true, you ask?!  Does it really matter, I say.
